Food For Thought : Most people find it hard to forgive themselves when they fail.

Are there times when you feel this way?
How will that change now that you know that God has totally forgiven you?

Of course... there are times even when I smack myself upside down... like crap... Especially when I tried hard to forgive myself yet other people don't forgive me still... sighs... it's like... you seriously cannot stand it...sometimes, you end up just realizing it's not worth it to feel unforgiven just because someone doesn't wanna forgive you of something you have made 'em upset with... Ultimately, it's a relief when you know you are loved and forgiven by God...
1 Cross + 3 Nails = 4Given... heard of that before? Yups, it's because of Christ death on the cross... that we have been forgiven... Just think of it, how painful it as 1 Nail is being hammered into His hands...what more... 3 nails... ouch, ouch, ouch... that definitely hurt like crazy....
Just for your 4give-ness, you have 3 Nails hammered into Jesus on that 1 Cross! Argh~~
Think of this...Is man greater than God? At the end of the day, it's still God's opinion of me, greater than what man thinks... and indeed, I am accepted in the Beloved... according to what God's word says...

yes, it is so true though at times that you struggle with forgiving yourself...especially after screwing up big time... I may be typing this now... but I still struggle with forgiving myself sometimes...

however, harboring guilt will drive you crazy... cuz our body was not designed to contain bitterness...therefore, often sickness is often, the result of it...

Romans 5:8-17

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

next time... after you have accidentally blew your top or made someone angry... instead of harboring guilt and condemnation (which is indeed a deadly weapon), proclaim, "I am still the righteousness of God in Christ, for He paid a heavy price on the cross for whatever I just did"
Because our body cannot contain guilt and bitterness for too long, since our forgiveness has been paid for on the cross already... why should we... as sinners, keep remembering whatever we did in the past?
